Bay Area EV Corridor

The Bay Area Electric Vehicle (EV) Corridor is a collaborative endeavor of cities, counties, government agencies, business associations and companies, coordinating the work of building a regional network of electric vehicle-ready communities.

The EV Corridor's Planning Committee includes representatives of City and County of San Francisco, Alameda County, City of San Jose, Marin County, and Sonoma County.  Private sector participation in the EV Corridor is supported by the Bay Area Climate Collaborative, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and the Bay Area Council.

Background: After the mayors of the Bay Area's largest cities, Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose, made a public commitment to electric vehicles in November 2008, public and private stakeholders from the region's cities and counties have committed to coordinated vehicle and infrastructure deployment.

In February, an inaugural public-private launch meeting was held at the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Out of this meeting, a Gov-2-Gov working group was formed, facilitating coordinated planning and action by government officials in cities, counties and regional agencies throughout the 9-county Bay Area.
